I committed in therapy Thursday morning to do at least 40 minutes of cardio every MORNING for the next 2 weeks. Oh boy. I’m sooo not a morning person, but I also know my pattern of coming home at night and not wanting to workout then, so I’m gonna give it my all. I also know that if I can get into the morning workout groove I’ll love the feeling I’ll have all day. So I start tomorrow. Probably should have started today, but I didn’t get up in time.
I also pulled out my favorite workout DVD and I plan on giving my girl Cindy some attention on the days I don’t make it to the gym. Once I’m in a little better shape I’ll be hitting the world of step aerobics again, since I totally love it.
Alright folks. I need some cheerleaders. I know once I get going I’ll be a-ok, but getting started is such a bitch (as I’m sure you all know).
You’re a better woman than I am. More power to you! The people I know that exercise everyday can’t imagine not doing – apparently it becomes addictive. What a wonderful habit! just think about how amazing you feel once you’re done. Go girl!
YEAH! Go you! Go you!
You can totally do it – When you get addicted to it every morning… Come up to TN and kick my ass with you… Mm’kay?
Good luck!
You can totally do it – and after a couple of weeks you will actually CRAVE it! I work out every morning since September for at least 30 minutes – sometimes 60 minutes – and I do it IMMEDIATELY upon waking up before I can talk myself out of it. I usually go to the gym and I think it helps me because I drag my ass there at 5 in the morning without really thinking and then I am too embarrassed to not actually work out and work out hard, you know.
But on the days where I can’t work out in the morning I actually kind of crave it all day long and am pretty happy to make it to the gym in the evenings.
I promise – it will be great and you can totally do it. I used to DREAD doing anything that actually caused effort or exertion of any kind and god forbid I ever sweat. Now, I am so proud of myself every day before I even drink my coffee that I have accomplished a good workout and poured sweat. :)
Going in the morning was what put me back in the gym routine. The second my alarm went off, and my dog mauled me, I knew there was no getting back to sleep so I might as well go. I no longer go in the morning, but the afternoon instead, but I’m in the habit now so I’m glad I started.
I am an early bird and love getting it out of the way. The problem is I have to be at work by 7:00 AM so during the week I can only really do it in the afternoon unless I get to the gym at 4:30 AM!
I know you can do it! I can’t do it, but I know YOU can :) I can’t seem to get my ass out of bed in the morning. I’m been working out at 11am at the company gym just before the lunch rush. That seems to be a good time for me personally. I know once I get home, get dinner ready and put the kids to bed, I won’t feel like doing it. There used to be a time when I worked out in the mornings and I do remember loving it…
whup whup soul’s my name/whup whup and i’ve got game. I reckon u’re two days :) so keep that routine going
