today was a good day

And now the song is stuck in me head.

I sent AA a text this morning to tell him good luck with his interview for a job with a big accounting firm this afternoon. This was something we’d talked about Saturday night and I could tell he was touched I remembered. I gave him advice – solicited, of course – and he told me how great I am. Yes, I cheesed when I read that.

I ran into him in the hall at work as I was coming inside from a quick smoke break and he looked so cute in his charcoal gray pants – the same color I was wearing today – and purple button-down and told him how great he looked. He really did. Not that he always doesn’t, but hey – this was noticeably darling. He liked it and said “But I always look good,” cheesing like I was. Mmmm. And then I glanced at his ass. I couldn’t help myself! And it looked so pronounced in those pants! I walked away toward the elevator glowing like I’d just seen the prophet. Oh, and I love the way he says my name…ahhhh, this girl is totally smitten.

And that ass! DAYYYYUM!

I’m still playing it cool with him, though. I think he knows I’m interested, but that’s the extent of it. I’m really enjoying getting to know him, and I’m so much loving the way he’s trying to get to know me. I think I might invite him over to meet the pups, since he always asks about them, and then of course I’d make dinner. Because that’s what I do. I don’t feel pressured to rush or get ultra flirtatious or sexual…I just like him. He’s nice. And so, so young. But that’s ok. I like him.

I came home tonight and took the pups out for a nice long walk. Before I knew it there was a crowd of 8 kids playing with my babies…mostly Moxie until I told them Cuddles was getting jealous and they started loving on him, too. It was so cute the way they were fawning over my angels. I wished I’d had my phone with me to take pictures.

When we got back from the walk I fed them, then made vanilla cupcakes that I’ll frost with maple frosting. Yum! I’ve been dying to do a maple cupcake. Then I made chocolate decorations for the tops…I’ll have pictures once they’re done, of course.

Next, I set to work on dinner – chicken cordon bleu with a creamy white wine sauce and loaded mashed potatoes. Only this time I piped the mashed potatoes onto a cookie sheet for baking in individual portions. Oh. My. God. They’ll be on the food blog with the chicken. Delish! I was going to saute some veggies, but I was too excited about the chicken and potatoes to do that, so it will be a veggieless night. Boo. I love my sauteed veggies; I just can’t eat as much as my eyes would like.

Hmmmm, AA is a young tender eh? Yum

How cute are the cupcakes with lettering?! That’s a cute touch for people that want them personalized.

I seriously think I’m going to try those bake potato bites tonight. *printing recipe now*

I had no intention of logging on tonight BUT I had to swing by to let you know that I made both dishes tonight. It was a hit! My dealer has asked that we have this at least once/month. lol I did use sherry wine instead of white (didn’t have any in the house) so the end result was a little darker but still quite tasty!

Yay!!! I’m so glad you liked them!!
