changing

Resolutions? Well, I don’t really think so.

Change in store for 2011? Why yes, I think that’s a good idea.

Numero uno on my listo is certainly to work on marketing for the business. I’ve been very, very negligent of it and now I know that if I really want it to succeed I need to step it up. It’s grown to where it is – a decent source of extra money – by referrals and a bunch of charity work. I don’t have a concrete plan in place for how I’m going to move forward yet, but this is going to be a big area of concentration for me early this year.

The never-ending desire to quit smoking the damn cigs is up there, too. I know, I know. I say it all the time. Hell, I think it wayyy more than I say it. Actions.

I’m earning my 13.1 sticker this year. I have already gotten offers from 2 real runners to help me with this goal and run it with me. That’s the motivation I need to step it up here. I do way better with group motivation than relying on myself.

Also on the list – finances, a vacation, further inner peace, a boyfriend would be nice…

You got anything good on your list?

I charge very reasonable rates as a marketing consultant ; ) Something to think about if you just need a little help — having someone working with you can keep you on task and moving forward toward your goals especially if it’s an area you are personally likely to neglect. I help several small biz owners with bits of marketing here and there and am happy to expand to Atlanta. But seriously – whether it’s me or someone else, having someone working for you as a freelancer is a great first step toward full-time cupcake awesomeness.

Hmmm….we need to talk! Give me a little time to think about budget. I need to have some major stuff done on my website and that’s the first expense of 2011. After that I’m very open to hiring you!

I’m not into resolutions either but change is good sometimes. Your entire “Also on the list” list sounds like mine and I’ll also borrow healthy hair from SimplyB’s list.

My comment started to sound like a blog post so I’ll just take it home and turn it into one. :-D
