- I don’t like cornbread. I think it’s the only bread I will pass up every single time.
- When I lived in Brazil there was a sweet old man who worked for one of my families and he did the most amazing job cleaning tennis shoes (not sneakers – tennis shoes, thank you very much). Before living with this family I thought you just threw away shoes when they got too dirty. Old Buddy took my dirty ass shoes and turned them like brand new. I wish he lived here with me right now.
- Recently I’ve become the biggest fan of Diana’s Bananas. Dark chocolate is my flavor of choice. The other night I had a craving and went to Publix to get some. In my pajama bottoms. Yeah. This weekend I’m going to make my own because $4.49 for 6 is kinda ridiculous when you consider how cheap and easy they are to make.
- I fear I may lash out at someone today. I’ve felt like that all week, so I’m taking Friday off.
- My favorite part of my job is investigating money laundering. I wish I could do it all day every day. Especially when I find people doing it. Makes my frickin’ day.
- I wish I weren’t so jaded about men. I noticed the other day how often I look at men and instantly “decide” if they are cheaters or not. I know, right?! I caught myself doing it without even realizing it and then had a talk with myself. The talking to myself part might very well be a big part of why I’m single.
- The majority of the sales force of the company I work for is Asian, which – as you might imagine – means the majority of our clients are also Asian. For fun today I did a little query of some common names to illustrate this. The most common American last names are Smith & Johnson (duh). Here’s how they measure up in my world (a database of 597,587 people):
- Smith – 2,222
- Johnson – 1,950
- Chen – 3,449
- Tran – 3,594
- Chan – 4,094
- Nguyen – 7,985
- There are zero clients with a first name spelled like mine.
- And there are 481 clients with the first name Jesus. Awesome.
- I just spent 30 minutes looking at houses in my hometown on google maps.
You deserve a day off. And some chocolate dipped bananas to enjoy at home.
I wish I had today(Friday) off just because its boring as fuck around these parts today. Can you believe mu coworkers took the day off to watch the royal wedding
Duh! #TeamJohnson…I mean Cruise. lol
